Hematology-Oncology Associates of Rockland is a community-based hematology-oncology practice with strong ties to the academic institutions of New York City. We are well equipped and experienced to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and monitor all blood and cancer diseases including solid tumor oncology, hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes, as well as all benign hematologic issues including anemia, leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, in addition to all coagulation and thrombotic disorders. Oncology is the field of Internal Medicine that includes the study, diagnosis and treatment of cancerous tumors. Oncologists specialize in treating cancer with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. They work with surgeons and radiation oncologists to treat cancer.
