Mathew Lonberg, M.D.
A highly trained and committed hematologist and medical oncologist, Dr. Mathew Lonberg strives to provide his patients with excellent care in Rockland and surrounding areas. Board-certifications of his include a Diplomate in Hematology, Diplomate in Medical Oncology, and Diplomate in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lonberg is currently in private practice at Hematology Oncology Associates of Rockland, P.C. in Nyack, New York.
Dr. Lonberg graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with honors in Biochemistry. Following his undergraduate education, he received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. His post-graduate training began with an Internship in Medicine followed by a Residency in Medicine at New York University Hospital Medical Center at Bellevue Hospital in New York, NY. Dr. Lonberg continued his medical training at NYU Medical Center with a fellowship in Oncology Research. Afterwards, he joined a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY, where he achieved awards from the Charles H. Revson Foundation Fellowship in Biomedical Research and the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Lonberg is an attending physician at several hospitals in New York, including Nyack Hospital in Nyack, Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. He is also Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University School of Medicine. Professional memberships of his include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the New York State Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Lonberg is currently listed in Castle Connolly, Ltd – Americas Top Doctors, and has also published many scientific articles on various topics in oncology and hematology.
